Need a midnight snack, lunch or just because? Have a toasted Italian sandwich. Four types of salamis, pepperoni and an amazing dressing that will have your tastebuds having a party! Try it!
Half Italian bread sliced lengthwise or two hoagie rolls
2 Tbs of mayonnaise
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 tsp salt & black pepper
1/2 tsp oregano
1 Roma tomorrow, sliced thin.
Red onion rings, thinly sliced.
3 slices of each: Italian Dry Salami, Peppered salami, Calabrese salami & Genova Salami
8 slices of pepperoni
4 thinly sliced provolone cheese.
In a small bowl, mix your vinegar, oil salt, pepper and oregano. Whisk well until well combined and set aside.
Place opened roll onto an open toaster, Flat skillet or inside grill. Toast lightly and spread the mayo onto each roll slice.
Start layering your salamis, warm them up just a little before layering them. Pepperoni last, followed by cheese slices.
Then top with lettuce, tomato, onions, and dressing
Crown with the top roll serve with your favorite sliced pickles.
