Iron Bites

These Iron Bites get their name from the vast amount of iron, nutrients and goodness of each of the ingredients it calls for, its an amazing treat! Try it!!

Ingredients:

2 Tbs molasses

6 whole dates (pitted)

3/4 cup dried apricots

1/4 cup dark chocolate (bar or chips)

1/4 cup flax seeds

1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

1/4 cup cashews (raw)

1/4 cup almonds (raw)

3/4 cup oats (rolled +1/4 cup for garnish)

1/4 cup coconut (unsweetened + 1/4 cup for garnish)

Directions:

Blend

Add molasses, dates and apricots to heavy blender at highest speed. Use the tamper/ or spoon to push ingredients down into the blades from the corners.

Blend for 1-2 minutes.

Add the rest of the ingredients. Pulse on medium 15-20 times to combine ingredients.

Roll

Mix the remaining oats and coconut on a small plate.

Use your hands to roll golfball sized pieces of the mixture.

Roll in the oats and coconut and keep aside. I added a little cocoa powder to half of the mixtures and made two kinds of Iron Bites 😄
