Cassava Orzo

In need of a delicious side dish? Look no further. This amazing cassava orzo is perfect for any type of protein.


8 oz box of Cassava orzo

4 cups of water

1 Tbs of salt

1 Tbs of vegetable oil

1/4 cup pine nuts

1/4 sliced scallions


Bring the water to a rolling boil over medium high heat, adding the salt and oil to water.

Add orzo and stir frequently. Let it boil for approximately 14 minutes. Turn off the heat and drain orzo. Rinse with cold water and set aside.

In a non stock skillet over medium low heat toast your pine nuts. When they start getting golden add orzo and scallions and stir. Mix well and do not cook for longer the 4 minutes. Serve and Enjoy!
