Tangy Jamaican Coleslaw Recipe-No Mayo

When was the last time you had coleslaw? Did it contain mayo? When was the last time your salad lasted more than 3 days in the fridge? Well, here it is! You will not miss the mayo. This recipe is tangy, delicious and perfect for crowds, bbq’s and the whole family will enjoy it!


2 Tbsp vegetable oil

2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

2 tsp Dijon mustard

2 tsp granulated sugar

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

1 clove garlic, minced

6 cups shredded green cabbage

1 carrot, shredded

2 green onions, chopped


In a bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, Dijon mustard, sugar, salt, black pepper and garlic.

To a large bowl, add cabbage, carrot and green onions; drizzle dressing and stir gently but make sure all the cabbage and carrots get some love.

Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.
