4-8 slices bread of choice (I used Sara Lee Artisan Texas style)
1 large egg or 2 small eggs
2 Tbs milk
2 Tbs mayonnaise
2 Tbs of coarse ground mustard
2 – 4 slices of Swiss Cheese
2-4 slices of Ham and turkey
1 – 2 tbsp unsalted butter
Lightly whisk egg, milk and a generous pinch of salt in a flat bowl.
Spread 1 slice of bread with mayonnaise and another one with mustard
Top both slices with cheese and alternate with turkey and ham then cheese, make a sandwich and press down firmly.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Dip each side of the sandwiches briefly in the egg mixture, then place in skillet.
Cook the first side, pressing down with a spatula or flat smaller skillet, for 3 minutes or until deep golden brown.
Flip and cook the other side for 3 minutes, pressing down firmly until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve immediately, while hot and enjoy!!
